Governors have a responsibility to monitor and support the wellbeing of their staff, as well as supporting the Headteacher.

This can be quite challenging for a number of reasons, not least because Governors may not come from an educational background themselves.

Even if they do, it is important that Headteachers in particular can confide in someone impartial.
